Car dealers may not show cars on a Sunday
It is illegal for liquor stores to sell food or grocery stores to sell any alcohol except beer that is at most 3.2% alcohol.
No liquor may be sold on Sundays or election days.
It is illegal to ride a horse while under the influence.
Tags may be ripped off of pillows and mattresses
One may not mutilate a rock in a state park.

(1) Except as otherwise provided in this article, it is
unlawful for any person:
(d) To willfully mar, mutilate, deface, disfigure, or
injure beyond normal use any rocks, trees, shrubbery, wild
flowers, or other features of the natural environment in
recreation areas of the state;

Throwing missles at cars is illegal.
Citation: Sec. 11-50.
Throwing missiles at vehicles. It shall be unlawful for any person to knowingly project any missile at or against any vehicle or equipment designed for the transportation of persons or property.
Keeping a house where unmarried persons are allowed to have sex is prohibited.
Bawdy houses. No bawdy house, house of ill-fame, house of assignation or the place for the practice of fornication or commonly ill-governed or disorderly house shall be kept or maintained within the limits of the city or within three (3) miles of the outer boundaries. It shall be unlawful for any person to keep any such house, or be an inmate thereof.
To own a dog over three months of age, one must obtain a license.

Required; application.
(a) Any person owning, keeping, harboring or having custody of any dog or potbelly pig over three (3) months of age within the city must obtain a license as provided in this article.
(b) Application for a license must be made within thirty (30) days after obtaining a dog or potbelly pig over three (3) months of age, within thirty (30) days after such dog or potbelly pig is brought into the city or within thirty (30) days after such dog or potbelly pig reaches three (3) months of age, except that this requirement will not apply to a nonresident keeping a dog or potbelly pig within the city for no longer than sixty (60) days.
Persons may not urinate in public.

Public urination and defecation unlawful. It shall be unlawful for any person to urinate or defecate in any public place, or in any place within public view, other than a toilet facility provided for such purpose. A "place within public view" is any place where conduct by a person reasonably may be expected to be open to view by members of the public. A public place is a place to which the public or a substantial number of the public has access, such as, but without limiting the generality of the foregoing, streets, alleys, schools, places of amusement, parks, playgrounds, the common areas of private buildings and facilities as well as such areas of public buildings and facilities.
Arvada Laws
Establishments which sell alcohol must have enough lighting to read text inside them.
Citation: Sec. 3-4. Lighting.
All licensees under this chapter shall be required to maintain a level of light within the licensed premises which would permit the checking of identification materials without resort to other lighting.
Aspen Laws
Catapults may not be fired at buildings.
Citation: Section 15.04.210 Unlawful to throw stones, snowballs or discharge guns and other missiles.
It shall be unlawful for any person to throw any stone, snowball or other missile, or discharge any bow, blowgun, slingshot, gun, catapult, or other device, upon or at any vehicle, building, or other public or private property, or upon or at any person, or in any public way or place which is public in nature.
Boulder Laws
It is legal to challenge a police officer, but only until he or she asks you to stop
Citation: 5-3-6 Use of Fighting Words.
No person shall insult, taunt, or challenge another in a manner likely to provoke a disorderly response. If the person to whom such insult, taunt, or challenge is directed is a police officer, there is no violation of this section until the police officer requests the person to cease and discontinue the conduct, but the person repeats or continues the conduct.
It is illegal to permit ones llama to graze on city property.
Citation: 5-4-7 Grazing on Public Property.
No person shall knowingly cause or permit any domesticated animal that such person owns, possesses, or controls, including, without limitation, cows, goats, llamas, burros, mules, horses, pigs, or sheep, to graze, pasture, or run at large or to be driven or herded within any property belonging to the city or under the possession and control of the city, except pursuant to a written permit from the city manager.
Boulders may not be rolled on city property.
Citation: 5-4-8 Rolling or Throwing Rocks on Public Property.
No person shall roll, throw, or otherwise move any rocks or boulders on any public property. But this section does not apply to city employees acting within the scope of their employment.
Couches may not be placed on outside porches.
Explanation: The University of Colorado in Boulder is renowned for its party atmosphere. In the most recent edition of the Princeton Review (2003), it was ranked the number one party school in the US. A common tradition at the University is to burn couches following big events (i.e. winning a football game). To curb this potentially dangerous activity, an ordinance was passed to discourage such actions.
Citation: 5-4-16 Outdoor Furniture Restriction.
(a) No person shall place, use, keep, store, or maintain any upholstered furniture not manufactured for outdoor use, including, without limitation, upholstered chairs, upholstered couches, and mattresses, in any outside areas located in the following places:
(1) In any front yard;
(2) In any side yard;
(3) In any rear yard or other yard that is adjacent to a public street. However, an alley shall not be considered a "public street" for the purpose of this subsection; or
(4) On any covered or uncovered porch located in or adjacent to any of the yards described in paragraphs (1) through (3) above.
Colorado Springs Laws
It is permissable to wear a holstered six-gun within city limits, except on Sunday, Election Day, or holidays.
Cripple Creek Laws
It is illegal to bring your horse or pack mule above the ground floor of any building.
Denver Laws
The dog catcher must notify dogs of impounding by posting, for three consecutive days, a notice on a tree in the city park and along a public road running through said park.
It is unlawful to lend your vacuum cleaner to your next-door neighbor.
You may not drive a black car on Sundays.
It is illegal to mistreat rats in Denver, Colorado.
Durango Laws
It is illegal to go in public dressed in clothes "unbecoming" on one's sex.
Logan County Laws
It is illegal for a man to kiss a woman while she is asleep.
Louisville Laws
Residents may not own chickens, but may own up to three turkeys.
Citation: Sec. 6.16.020. Keeping of certain animals prohibited.
A. It is unlawful for any person to maintain or to keep any cattle, sheep, goats, swine, chickens, horses or other livestock within the city, except in areas zoned for such use as provided in the zoning regulations. The keeping of such animals within areas of the city not specifically excepted herein is declared to be a nuisance.
B. It is unlawful for any person to maintain or to keep more than three ducks, geese or turkeys, or any combination thereof, within the city in areas zoned for such use as provided in the zoning regulations. The keeping of more than three fowl within areas of the city not specifically excepted herein is declared a nuisance.

It is illegal to let a dandelion grow within the city limits.

Cats may not run loose without having been fit with a taillight.
Vail Laws
It is illegal to crash into obstacles on a ski slope.
Citation: 5-5-3: SKIER DUTIES:
D. Avoid Obstacles: Each skier shall stay clear of snow-grooming equipment, all vehicles, lift towers, signs, and any other equipment on the ski slopes and trails.
No one may keep junk close to someone else
Citation: 5-1-3: KEEPING JUNK:
The storing or keeping by any person within the Town of any old articles or materials which may be classified as junk, adjacent to or in close proximity to any public building, public park or grounds, business buildings or residences without first providing fully enclosed buildings for the storage of the same, shall be deemed a public nuisance. It is specifically provided that trash, garbage and refuse and trash, garbage and refuse containers, barrels and cans must be obscured from view and not accessible to scavenging animals. It is further specifically provided that "junk" as referred to in this Chapter shall be expressly deemed to include, without limitation, any motor vehicle that is incapable of operation under its own power. A motor vehicle shall be presumed incapable of operation if it has remained in one location for a period in excess of thirty (30) days.
